An asphalt driveway can last up to 15-20 years when installed and maintained properly. Providing the asphalt with a strong & stable base is an essential part of the installation process and helps with the longevity of your driveway.

If asphalt is installed before the base stone material settles, the driveway will sink, crack & split. DCR requires a driveway to settle and compact between 4 – 8 weeks. Of course everything is circumstantial depending on weather and other factors.
