Tree & Shrub Program for New Plants
A helpful hint from DCR Landscaping & Construction Inc. to help your newly installed landscape stay healthy and resilient.
- 1st Month: Water trees and shrubs every day
- 2nd Month: Water 1 to 2 times per week
- 3rd Month and Thereafter: Water 1 to 2 times per week, more often if there is less than normal rain
When watering, hold the hose directly on the plant for 30 to 60 seconds. In extreme hot weather, plants need to be watered everyday. If the plants are droopy they need more water. If the plants are turning yellow, they need less water.
Try to water in the early morning or in the evening rather than during the middle of the day in heavy day.
